"Let me explain...No, there is too much. Let me sum up..."

So, it's been awhile since my last post. Actually a really long time. I would love to say that I've just been so busy having fun, that I never have time to write, but that would be false. I would also like to say that I've been balancing my fun with homework and haven't had time to write, but that would also be false. While I have been having fun, and while I have had a major chunk of my time dedicated to homework, I seem to find plenty of time to get on Facebook or talk to people on Skype. Truthfully, I've been a bit lazy... So here you are, my catch up post!

No, that would take way too long. I'll just talk about my interesting weekend (although, I have yet to have a dull weekend while I've been here). Friday, our day trip days, we went to Bath, Uk. This was something I was looking forward to the most. I took Latin for four years throughout high school and I sorely miss it. Getting to see the Roman baths and the architecture and recognizing the words was immensely enjoyable. Given the chance, I would gladly go back.

Unfortunately, I should've take a swim in those hot springs when I had a chance. The boiler in our hostel went out on Friday, which meant no heaters and no hot water. It certainly put an interesting twist on the weekend. Thankfully, the staff here are amazing and went out and bought small heaters for our rooms and worked their hardest to accomodate us. At one point, we could shower in the hotel next door, with the promise that Monday would bring parts for the boiler and warm water.

On Sunday, I really let my nerdiness show by going to the Doctor Who Experience. I did not leave disappointed. With amazing special effects, me and the other 'shoppers' were guided by the Doctor through an episode-like tale. After thirty minutes of laughing and dodging Daleks, we entered the exhibition portion of the show and marveled at the gadgets and monsters from the show put on display. From the Ood to the Hath, the exhibition displayed life size replicas of what I had seen on the show countless times. It's moving back to Cardiff in a few days and I'll be sad to see it go. It's probably the closest I'll get to the show, despite being in England. Wales is still a little far off for easy travel, so with a heavy heart, I enjoy my Doctor through the screen with the countless other fans, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the next season.

We are now at the present time, Monday night (or I suppose now Tuesday morning for me) and school has once again forced us into submission. As promised, the boiler is back and we should be back to normal on Tuesday (yay for heat and warm showers!!). A day full of Theatre tomorrow and Loch Ness for the weekend. Hopefully I will blog more often....
